| Discovery Flight |
| The Discovery Flight is a 1 hour flight with a CFI (Certified Flight Instructor) which includes the following teaching: aircraft preflight, aircraft starting procedure, taxi procedure, radio instruction with Ground and Tower, ground maneuvering, observation of take-off and climb out to practice area, practice area maneuvers at approximately 5000 feet altitude such as medium turns, straight and level flight, S turns, turns about a point, slow flight, basic student pilot handling of the aircraft, Fargo Approach procedures into Class D airspace on return to airport, basic traffic pattern entry, and observation of landing and taxing return to hangar. The student would fly left seat and the Instructor would fly right seat, both sides having yoke control of the aircraft. It is an official loggable flight hour. We utilize low wing aircraft, such as the Piper Archer. The total costs for a Discovery Flight is $99.
