| Private Pilot Requirements |
| |
- Must be 17 years of age.
- Must have a minimum 40 hours of flight time, including 20 hours of flight training and 10 hours soloing.
- Must have 3 hours of cross country flight training.
- Must have 3 hours of night flight training, including one cross country over 100 nautical miles and 10 take offs and landings to a full stop.
- 3 hours of instrument flight training.
- 3 hours flight training preparation up to 60 days before private practical test.
- 5 hours of solo cross country, including one solo cross country of 150 nautical miles with a minimum of three points. One of those segments must be at least 50 nautical miles with 3 takeoffs and landings to a full stop in traffic.
- Must pass the FAA Private Pilot written exam.
